Easy Comparison and Contrast Essay Topics
Easy Comparison and Contrast Essay TopicsWhen it comes to essay writing, easy comparison and contrast essay topics will provide you with plenty of subjects to write about. There are so many different things that need to be covered during an essay, but when you get to the comparison and contrast part of the assignment, you can actually get to know each subject in detail, which is also very important for an essay. These are all great essays, and the key to writing them is to remember to use a combination of topics to get your point across. This can be done by using a comparison and contrast essay topic. The idea is to use two or more categories that really cover what your essay is about. For example, if you are writing about color, then you could include things like how the human eye works, how color is represented in art or just generally how colors make our world seem different. You can do this to make sure that you do not only cover the main topic of your essay, but that you also hav e something else going on as well.It can help if you look at other essays on a similar topic before you write yours. Writing for one person's tastes is not necessarily going to be the same as writing for another's. They are going to be different and their needs are going to be different, which means you are going to have to make sure that you also are writing for yourself and your own needs.A simple essay topic will be easier to explain, which makes it easier to get your point across. However, if you are working on a topic that is going to have an abundance of other essays written for a very long time, it is going to be better to have a more complex comparison and contrast essay topic. Keep in mind that you can either write this for yourself or for a class, but it is better if you write it for yourself because it will be easier to understand and remember what you are trying to say. Since the topics you will be comparing are going to be much more complex, the essay may take much long er to write, but it will definitely be worth it.When you are looking at essay topics, keep in mind that you can always use these two options. When it comes to something that is going to be compared to something else, it is almost always easier to write something that is just two specific subjects compared to something that covers a bunch of different things. However, if you are trying to compare two specific topics, then go ahead and use the comparison and contrast option. The choice is up to you. If you find it is easier to look at the whole topic, then that is what you are going to do.The thing to remember when it comes to essay topics is that there are a lot of things that can be written about. You will not be limited to just two or three topics. For example, you might think that, if you were just writing about the link between distance and brain activity, you would have covered every single topic there is to be written about. In reality, you might have written a few topics, but there are several more to cover. The first thing you should do is determine how many topics you can really cover and still be able to be understood. Doing this will help you narrow down your choices for essay topics and ensure that you will be doing it with ease. In the end, this is going to make you a better writer and a more effective essay writer.

About the Earths Geographic and Magnetic South Pole
About the Earths Geographic and Magnetic South Pole The South Pole is the southernmost point on the Earths surface. It is at 90ÃÅ¡S latitude and it is on the opposite side of the Earth from the North Pole. The South Pole is located in Antarctica and it is at the site of the United States Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, a research station that was established in 1956. Geography of the South Pole The Geographic South Pole is defined as the southern point on Earths surface that crosses the Earths axis of rotation. This is the South Pole that is located at the site of the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. It moves about 33 feet (ten meters) because it is located on a moving ice sheet. The South Pole is on an ice plateau about 800 miles (1,300 km) from McMurdo Sound. The ice at this location is about 9,301 feet (2,835 m) thick. As a result ices movement, the location of the Geographic South Pole, also called the Geodetic South Pole, must be recalculated yearly on January 1. Usually, the coordinates of this location are just expressed in terms of latitude (90ÃÅ¡S) because it essentially has no longitude as it is located where the meridians of longitude converge. Although, if longitude is given it is said to be 0ÃÅ¡W. In addition, all points moving away from the South Pole face north and must have a latitude below 90ÃÅ¡ as they move north toward the Earths equator. These points are still given in degrees south however because they are in the Southern Hemisphere. Because the South Pole has no longitude, it is difficult to tell time there. In addition, time cannot be estimated by using the suns position in the sky either because it rises and sets only once a year at the South Pole (due to its extreme southern location and the Earths axial tilt). Thus, for convenience, time is kept in New Zealand time at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. Magnetic and Geomagnetic South Pole Like the North Pole, the South Pole also has magnetic and geomagnetic poles which differ from the 90ÃÅ¡S Geographic South Pole. According to the Australian Antarctic Division, the Magnetic South pole is the location on the Earths surface where the direction of the Earths magnetic field is vertically upwards. This forms a magnetic dip that is 90ÃÅ¡ at the Magnetic South Pole. This location moves about 3 miles (5 km) per year and in 2007 it was located at 64.497ÃÅ¡S and 137.684ÃÅ¡E. The Geomagnetic South Pole is defined by the Australian Antarctic Division as the point of intersection between the Earths surface and the axis of a magnetic dipole that approximates the Earths center and the beginning of the Earths magnetic field. The Geomagnetic South Pole is estimated to be located at 79.74ÃÅ¡S and 108.22ÃÅ¡E. This location is near the Vostok Station, a Russian research outpost. Exploration of the South Pole Although exploration of Antarctica began in the mid-1800s, attempted exploration of the South Pole did not occur until 1901. In that year, Robert Falcon Scott attempted the first expedition from Antarcticas coastline to the South Pole. His Discovery Expedition lasted from 1901 to 1904 and on December 31, 1902, he reached 82.26ÃÅ¡S but he did not travel any farther south. Shortly thereafter, Ernest Shackleton, who had been on Scotts Discovery Expedition, launched another attempt to reach the South Pole. This expedition was called the Nimrod Expedition and on January 9, 1909, he came within 112 miles (180 km) from the South Pole before he had to turn back. Finally in 1911 however, Roald Amundsen became the first person to reach the Geographic South Pole on December 14. Upon reaching the pole, Amundsen established a camp named Polhiem and named the plateau that the South Pole is on, King Haakon VII Vidde. 34 days later on January 17, 1912, Scott, who was attempting to race Amundsen, also reached the South Pole, but on his return home Scott and his entire expedition died due to cold and starvation. Following Amundsen and Scotts reaching the South Pole, people did not return there until October 1956. In that year, U.S. Navy Admiral George Dufek landed there and shortly thereafter, the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station was established from 1956-1957. People did not reach the South Pole by land though until 1958 when Edmund Hillary and Vivian Fuchs launched the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition. Since the 1950s, most of the people on or near the South Pole have been researchers and scientific expeditions. Since the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station was established in 1956, researchers have continually staffed it and recently it has been upgraded and expanded to allow more people to work there throughout the year. China and Globalization Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1750 words
China and Globalization - Essay Example Similar to other developing nations, China has been affected vastly by the advent of globalization which is often argued to be comparatively more rigorous than in the context of other countries. Globalization has helped China in achieving various economic opportunities such as resource accumulation, capital inflow and labor outflow to contribute to its socio-economic growth prospects (Hangzhou and Hong Kong. ââ¬Å"Could A Chinese Internet Business Become the Worldââ¬â¢s Most Valuable Companyâ⬠). The country had also witnessed various challenges in terms of sovereignty and ideological diversity when developing with the advent of rapid globalization. Critics often argue in this regard that China has learnt to turn its economic lacunas into advantages with the help of the globalization. According to the survey report of the World Bank on global development, Chinaââ¬â¢s accelerated growth has ââ¬Ëhelped to drive the recovery in the East Asiaââ¬â¢ by a large extent (Keit h, ââ¬Å"Buying up the World, The Coming Wave of Chinese Take Overâ⬠). Focusing on the recent economic developments in China, it can be affirmed that globalization effects have imposed its vital impressions over Chinaââ¬â¢s economy. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of China is increasing continuously on a year-on-year basis. China entails the 32nd largest power with respect to its trade prospects (Shenzen. ââ¬Å"The Company That Spooked the Worldâ⬠). For instance, Chinaââ¬â¢s economy, as compared to the Japanese context and other similar nations is much more open and advanced facilitating global traders to operate with the nation and thus facilitate national income substantially. As the records depict, the national income of China, earned from international trade accounts around 70% of its total GDP. In this context, it has been further revealed that the globalization of China does not confine to the opening of economy rather it confines to the globalization of the institutions trading within China. In accordance with the advent of globaliza tion, China has adopted the foreign technologies as well as the techniques of the corporate management related to the foreign terms. China has also adapted the various foreign institutions as well as the international accounting standards aptly in accordance with its economic limitations and growth needs. The important and the advanced change that globalization brought within China relates to the western concept of the rules related to the law which in turn, with the blend of Chinese traditional ideologies have widened the nationââ¬â¢s development prospects largely (Shenzen. ââ¬Å"The Company That Spooked the Worldâ⬠). As reported in The Economist, China has adopted three basic steps to merge smoothly with the globalization imposing inevitable impacts over the world economy and the market scenario. The frank pro-globalization stand, the reformist approach and the attitude of fight back globalization have further accumulated with the rise of China as a world power in global politics. The need for this attitude by the Chinese economy was basically to sustain within the competitive scenario where globalization effects were observed to be posing a fast and advanced impact over the countryââ¬â¢s economy. It is in this context that globalization has provided long-term benefits to China with respect to various aspects. In the aftermath, with the enhanced resource availability as facilitated with the globalization effects, the domestic industry in China became more efficient and effective which ultimately helped the nation to ensure competitiveness towards the foreign industries by accepting the legal as well as the regulatory framework with regard to the modern management in an open and

Nativist Theories Of Language Development - Essay Example It also earnings that we require to deem very cautiously how we engross boys in behavior deliberate to endorse untimely language and literacy. Allah Is All Powerful And All Knowing
Allah Is All Powerful And All Knowing Muslims are guided by the following main provisions, which are recognized as infallible truth and are binding for all believers: belief in Allah, the sanctity of the Quran, appointment through Mohammed, the immortality of the soul, the resurrection, the Day of Judgement, a belief in heaven and hell, devils, demons and angels. A basic knowledge of the Muslim religion is very different in different people and in different countries of the traditional Islam. Every Muslim knows the meaning of the creed of Islam: Allah. There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦ His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme in glory. (Quran 2:255) It expresses two main precepts of Islam: there is a single, unique, and eternal God Almighty Allah; his messenger Allah chose an Arab from Mecca, Muhammad, through him God gave people the text of the holy book the Koran, and by his hands he founded a community of believers. That is, belief in Allah is the primary tenet of faith in Islam. (Sell 2000) According to Islam beliefs, Allah is all-powerful and all knowing, as well as merciful and compassionate. His greatness is expressed in many statements (for example, Allah Akbar) that are well known to all Muslims, which they often repeat in their speech, prayers, which can be found written on the monuments of Muslim architecture in Asia, Africa, Europe and America. Muslims believe that Allah at any time can create any miracle, just as in one command he created the heavens and the earth, mountains, rivers, flora and fauna. In the representation of Muslims he can at any moment break the natural course of history, to violate the laws of nature, for he is almighty: God is the Creator of everything. He is the guardian over everything. Unto Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. And No creature is there crawling on the earth, but its provision rests on God. He knows its lodging place and its repository (Sell 2000). Muslim believer should not, have no right to doubt the omnipotence of Allah, otherwise, he commits great sin, which can only be redeemed with gifts to clergy, or Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca and other holy places. (Sell 2000) It is important to mention the main pillars of Islam which unite all believers, whatever other differences they may have. An observant Muslim must follow Five main pillars of Islam: The Shahadah, or profession of faith: This is the essence of Islam. One must say aloud, sincerely and purposefully, There is no God but Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet. Prayer: One must pray, in a ritualized manner, five times a day, in congregation if possible. Zakat, or tithing: One must give a certain percentage of ones assets to the poor each year. Fasting: One cannot eat, drink, or smoke from dawn to dusk during Ramadan, the ninth month of the lunar calendar. Hadj, or pilgrimage: One must journey to Mecca at least once, if its possible to do so. (Oxford Islamic Studies Online) Almost every Muslim knows at least a few phrases from the holy book of Islam Quran. The Quran was written in Arabic and in the ritual is used the Arabic original. For Muslims, the Quran is the direct word of Allah, addressed to Muhammad, and through him to all people. In it both the ordinary Muslims and theologians are seeking answers to questions of privacy and public life, to justify their actions. According to Islam, there are different ways of knowing Allah, and much can be said about him, as the great wonders of the world are like an open book, in which we can read a lot about God, who resides out of this world. God Himself comes to help us by sending envoys and sending his revelation, in which he tells about everything that we need to know about God. The Islamic religion is full of recognition of the teachings and guidance of Allah, in the form in which it was opened by His Messenger Muhammad. Islam requires belief in the unity and sovereignty of Allah, making people aware of the significance of the Universe and his place in it. This belief frees person from any fear and prejudice, leading him to realize the presence of Almighty God and to the understanding of human responsibilities toward Him. However, this belief must in some way find expression and be tested in practice, as one only faith is not enough. (Esposito 2000) Belief in one God requires that people must treat all mankind as one family, completely ruled by God, who is Creator of all and gives sustenance to everything. Islam rejects the idea of à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬ ¹Ã ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬ ¹chosen people, as only faith in God and good deeds are the only ways leading to heaven. (Esposito 2002) It is also necessary to say that in todays world there are few Islamic schools, branches and sects, which represent different views and ideas. The earliest and most major split was caused by the emergence of Shia and Sunni. In the Shiite movement along with believing in the authority of the Quran and teachings of the Muhammad, people believe that his family, the Ahl al-Bayt, have special spiritual and political rule over the community, and in Ali ibn Abi Talib. (Esposito 2000) The other important Islamic movement are called the Sunni. Its supporters recognize the legitimacy of Sunnah, the normative example of Muhammads life. The Quran and the Sunnah (the example of Muhammads life) as recorded in hadith are the primary foundations of Sunni doctrine. (Esposito 2000) Later, in Islam there was the Sufi doctrine, which was influenced by the ideas of Mazdaism, Buddhism, and even neo-Platonism. Sufis originally did not recognize importance of external ritualism, and sought the true knowledge of God, a mystical merging with the deity, gave special importance to the names of God from the Quran. (Esposito 2000) Despite the various trends in Islam, all Muslims believe the idea of à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬ ¹Ã ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬ ¹belonging to one community of people united by a common faith, common traditions, common initial history and common interests in the modern world.

Understanding Fascism
Fascism refers to the political ideology that considers an individualââ¬â¢s, a groupââ¬â¢s or a societiesââ¬â¢ interest to be subordinate to that of the interests of the state. The objective of such an ideology is to unify the state and its constituents to forego their interests that are often self-serving.At the same time, Payne (27-32) considers it as a counter-movement to liberalism and rose to prominence in Europe in the 1920ââ¬â¢s to the 1930ââ¬â¢s.à The movement grew with the decline of European states economically and politically and a general loss of faith in the ability of governments to control and stabilize markets because of commercial interests (73-79).It is considered to be the inspiration behind Adolf Hitlerââ¬â¢s Nazism and has helped shaped post-war philosophies and doctrines such as Islamofascism, Neo-fascism, Rexism and Social fascism among others and provided a foundation of socio-political reform worldwide particularly in communist and social ist states (120-127).It is critical to understand the significance and impact of fascism not only in countries, movements and governments that adopted its ideologies but also its value to international politics, economics and history (359).Mussolini and FascismAndrea Benito Amilcare Mussolini was named for socialists and reformists Andrea Costa, Benito Juà ¡rez and Amilcare Cipriani. His father, Alessandro was a known social activist and was associated filially and by association to many known social activists of the time.Mussoliniââ¬â¢s rise in the Italian Socialist Party can be traced with his editorship of L'Avvenire del Lavoratore in 1909, the subsequent publication of his book titled Il Popolo, reformation and control of the Fasci Italiani di Combattimento and was cemented when he became Italyââ¬â¢s youngest prime minister in history in 1922 (220-229).Fascism was coined by Benito Mussolini on the Italian word ââ¬Å"fascioâ⬠which in turn is based on the Latin word ââ¬Å"fascesâ⬠which refers to rods packed around an axe. It represented the maxim of standing together versus standing individually. One particular source of doctrine that guided Italian Fascism and consequently fascism in general was based on the 1891 encyclical written by Pope Leo XIII titled Rerum Novarum which also is considered a major basis of modern Catholic teachings. The use of the text, particularly its emphasis on the value of corporatism and labor, and the Romanization of the Roman Empire was used to validate fascism to the public (218-222).Mussoliniââ¬â¢s rise to the premiership was an effort on the part of King Victor Emmanuel III to avoid a civil war the abolition of the monarchy similar to France (112). Payne points out that fascism rose from the lack of effectivity of the Italian government to direct the country during the economic and political crisis with the overall decline of Europe as a world power in the turn of the twentieth century (218).The sentime nt was that there was a need for decisive action to solve the countryââ¬â¢s problems and bring back its position as a leader in Europe. The motivation was to protect not only Italyââ¬â¢s future but also to preserve its history and culture which was considered under threat because of the social developments in the region.Italian FascismThe development of the Fascism in Italy is credited by Payne to the economic and social conditions after World War I, the Great Depression and the collapse of governments in the European continent for creating the platform and the support for the movement (72-77).At the beginning of his government, there was significant representation in the parliament however Mussolini granted greater representation to his political allies with the objective of developing a totalitarian state with himself as the head. Using fascist ideologies and propaganda, the Fasci di Combattimento was integrated to become part of the Italian army Italy was unified to become a single state under the Acerbo Law as well as the allowed for the liberalization of market, rent and labor unions.Though there were existing opposition to Mussolini that were prompting King Victorââ¬â¢s dismissal of the prime minister, Mussolini was able to maintain power through intimidation and the use of fascist propaganda.
